What can I expect on my first visit?

Hospitality – expect real people, a smile, music and a relevant message. You can wear a suit or jeans and be yourself. Expect welcoming hosts and members who want to help you find your way around.

Have a gluten sensitivity? We offer gluten-free communion at our worship service. We celebrate the Lord’s table every first Sunday of the month.

Children and Youth – expect a commitment to the safety of young people, trained volunteers and a strategy to engage them in age-appropriate ways with the good news of Jesus Christ.

A mission that matters – expect to have opportunities to serve the community or join a group to serve and grow. Expect a church that is committed to making room for all, and wants to make a difference and change lives!

Are there opportunities to connect with and learn more about Hillcrest?

Yes. We have many opportunities for you and your family to connect with Hillcrest UMC family.

On your visit, you and your family will have the opportunity to meet our pastors. The preaching Pastor will be available in the lobby following the 10:15 am service. Also, other Pastors and welcome volunteers will be here to welcome you and to connect you to our Sunday School classes, ministry groups and mission opportunities.

Adults are invited to attend a Sunday School class or have a cup of coffee and conversation with our welcome team members. The pastor would like to meet with you as you are able to answer any questions you might have and to welcome you to Hillcrest UMC.

Families are invited to experience children’s ministry on Sunday morning and Student Ministry on Sunday evenings.  For ways to connect with our family ministries here at Hillcrest contact us at 615-832-0157.

Hillcrest UMC is a community of Jesus followers who make room for all who are seeking renewal through Jesus Christ and consequently transforming the world. We invite everyone to join us in our mission. Whether you are spiritually homeless, skeptical, curious, or a committed follower of Jesus, we value making room for wherever you are in your process and supporting you in your ongoing spiritual journey.
