OUTREACH
The Hillcrest UMC Community Food Bank provides food to our neighborhood community twice a month. We provide food to those who have little or no income – at no cost. We welcome volunteers to help serve our neighbors that come to the Food Bank. Distribution occurs on the first and third Thursdays of each month, from 3:00pm to 5:00 pm. Service opportunities include:
- Unload the Second Harvest delivery truck and shelve the food from 10:00am-12:30pm
- Make food boxes from 2:30pm to 5:15 pm.
- Help with the distribution of food and fellowship with our clients from 3:00pm to 5:00pm

You don’t have to be a church member to participate – groups are welcome to come help serve the community. Donations of food to our Food Bank are always welcome. Perhaps your organization could have a food drive to benefit the Food Bank. For additional information or to schedule your group, please contact the church office at 615-832-0157.

REFUGE CARE
Hillcrest UMC is located on the Nolensville Corridor in the Tusculum Area. We are blessed to call Nashville’s most recent residents from other countries our neighbors. We have welcomed MARIM church a congregation of Congolese Refugees to worship from our Sanctuary. Through ESL, HUMC Children’s Choir, Hillcrest Community Food Bank and other ministries we welcome and serve families and individuals from the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Central America who moved to Nashville seeking refuge.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
